We are a non-profit organization that is focusing on bringing people together at various engaging events that have cultural and educational purpose.
One of our missions is to introduce Azerbaijan - the culture, traditions, history and background to the local communities.
Our goal is to bring Azerbaijanis living in Minnesota together and establish bridges between cultures and communities. AAM strives to introduce Azerbaijani culture to American society and will appreciate any volunteer help to promote our cultural values and history in the USA.
Our mission is to provide various educational services included but not limited to the Azerbaijani language classes, dance classes, and cooking classes. AAMN great effort is to organize different kinds of conferences, meetings, concerts to help Azerbaijanis adapt in the USA and to be part of the Azerbaijani community in Minnesota.
AAM members had an honor to meet with the Mayor of Lakeville Douglas Anderson during 104th Republic Day event. Mr.Anderson congratulated Azerbaijanis of Minnesota with Republic Day and wished us all the best. AAM’s members introduced to the Mayor the culture, history and traditions of Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijani Association of Minnesota had successful Flag event to honor 104th Republic Day of Azerbaijan. Among all the visitors we had the Mayor of Lakeville Douglas Anderson. Mr.Anderson congratulated Azerbaijanis of Minnesota with Republic Day and wished us all the best. AAM’s members introduced to the Mayor the culture, history and traditions of Azerbaijan. We are looking for more meetings with the Mayor of Lakeville and other mayors in the cities.
Azerbaijani Association of Minnesota had a fun celebration of Novruz 2022. AAM had brought together families to enjoy Novruz traditions, food and dance. The celebration included special guests appearance: Azerbaijani Dance performance Aydan & Berkay as well as live music and song performance by honorable Mustafa Orhan Ucey. We are grateful to finally gather for such celebrations post Pandemic and bring together Azerbaijani, Turkish & Iranian communities in Minnesota.
Board members of Azerbaijani Association of Minnesota had an honor to hold a conference meeting with the Mayor of Burnsville Elizabeth Kautz.
The meeting was focused on introducing Azerbaijani community, the history, geography, traditions and culture of Azerbaijan.
Mayor E.Kautz was fascinated to learn about Azerbaijanis in Minnesota and our background.
The meeting was a success for AAM organization in building the bridge of strong relationships with the state representatives to promote Azerbaijani community in Minnesota
Azerbaijani Association of Minnesota is supporting Ukraine during the war between Russian and stands against Russian invasion. Today, AAM’s delivered humanitarian donation at Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Arden Hills, MN. AAM’s donation to the cause has provided basic necessities such as snacks, baby food, baby wipes, first aid kits, medications, men’s socks, backpacks etc.
February 26, 2022, marks the 30th anniversary of the Khojaly Massacre in Azerbaijan, and the observance of this tragic date inspires reflection by individuals across the globe. Khojaly massacre was part of the armed Armenian aggression and ethnic cleansing that had been taking place in the Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan since 1988, when the residents of this town attempted to flee the area, they were ambushed and fired, resulting in the largest civilian massacre and war crime in all of Europe at the time
Azerbaijani Association of Minnesota is proud to present historical moment. On October 18th, 2021 for the first time in Minnesota famous Lowry Bridge lit up in the colors of Azerbaijani flag to honor 30th Independence Day of Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijanis of Minnesota made it on the first page of SUN This Week local Minnesota news. In four pages of interview AAMN's introduced Azerbaijanis in Minnesota to the local communities and spread information about Novruz celebration. Our member Gunel Rallis, who conducted the interview, also talked about Karabakh War and Khojaly genocide that will never be forgotten.
AAMN was proudly representing Azerbaijan and its culture at the International Festival in Burnsville for the first time in the history of Azerbaijanis in Minnesota.
On October 25th of 2020, Azerbaijani Association of Minnesota members marched a peaceful rally in downtown Minneapolis against Armenian aggression and lies.
